My favourite time of day is 6 pm. Everyone's fed and bathed and the Child and I sit on the sofa and have a cuddle before bed and watch Grand Designs.
I luff Kevin McCloud. He's so enthusiastic. And I like listening to his voice.
Luffing Fexican ? Me too.
Spose I'll have to start Easter theming soon.
Watched the Real Housewives of BH tonight. I'm fond of Lisa and Ken.
They both have superior hair.
Thanks for all your nice comments about my fall. I still feel mediocre. More's the pity.

Pic of the Child playing with the sheet made me smile. My kids have taken a liking to hiding in my linen cupboard and messing it up. Drives me mad but it's so cute to watch them playing old school hide and go seek.
ReplyDeleteDear FF
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to read about your fall. Hope you're feeling better really soon. It must have been awful. Depending on what you've hurt, physio or a remedial massage can often help. With the blood and all it must have been dreadful. Take care and relax as much as you can. Best wishes, Pamela
it was dreadful.
DeleteI feel quite sad about the whole thing.
Dear FF
DeleteMy thoughts and best wishes are with you. It's very hard being sick or injured with a small child. They can't fully understand what's wrong and expect you to be able to do all the usual things.
A long time ago I fell down some stairs in the dark when we were away from home. Worst thing was hurting the ankle - on crutches for several weeks and we lived in a house with lots of internal stairs. I used to slide the crutches down the stairs and then bump down on my bottom. Toddler son thought this was hilarious and would stand at the bottom laughing his socks off. But it was really painful too. It can be so depressing to be in pain and feel like it's taking forever to heal.
But so pleased you're feeling up to blogging again and at times restored to your usual self with the wonderful sense of humour. Hopefully it cheers you up to know how seriously your followers are concerned for you and how much we appreciate your style and wit. With warmest wishes, Pamela
Your red ghost -so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe garden pictures make me so happy.
Here in the mid-atlantc states grey skies are the rage.
Remembering the roses will return. Yours are sight for sore eyes.
The joy of 6pm cuddles with bath fresh child......
Love Kevin. Such a lovely voice, did you know he painted the Harrod's Food Hall (with all the bowers of fruit etc)?
ReplyDeleteYes, lots of spam here. No idea why they're all out and about at the moment. This one was my favourite recently 'Would it not be wise to minor in creative writing and major in biochemistry? My site: Transvaginal Mesh" ... and that was in response to a post on Dinner plates. Interesting.
My favourite time of day is 8pm. Everyone's fed, bathed, read to and in bed, and I finally get to sit down and have a cup of tea! xx
Very sorry to read that you are still not feeling great, rest up.
ReplyDeleteYes I love Kevin too, all that enthusiasm!
I have never seen any of the RH series. My favourite time of day is getting into bed around 10:30 to read. It's when there is nothing else to be done for the day and I can just wind down. Spam is awful but I am managing to mostly keep clear of it.
ReplyDeleteFF, Prepare yourself..... Tracey Mathers have just bought in stock a heap of ... wait for it..... ORANGE, yes ORANGE shoes, bags, jewelery and oh did l mention shoes too!!!! All looks beautiful. Run, dont Walk!!
ReplyDeleteI love Kevin too. I especially love Grand Design but I also don't mind that man cave show he is doing.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes to the spam...I don't understand how it works...who would ever click on it?
It clogs up my inbox!
And we all know that clutter is the devil's work!
P.s G gain l forgot to say the Tracey Mathers ORANGE is 11/10 and l luff it. Getting onto FF lingo! Good night all FF's. GX
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better and getting lots of rest. After bath-time is the most precious time of day I agree. The spam has been really bad, not sure why!
ReplyDeleteKeep snuggling on the sofa with your little boy, have a soothing cocktail and try and erase the memory from your mind. There is nothing mediocre about you! Hopefully, you'll be back to your usual zesty self, but don't force yourself - take it easy.
ReplyDeleteSpam comes and goes.
ReplyDeleteYour little one under that pink sheet has made my day and it's only 6:53am in California.
Dear FF
ReplyDeleteThe fall sounds awful. Speedy recovery to you.
On the highbrow subject of RHOBH...which series are you up to. I think I've only seen the 1st 2 series (Russell had just died and Kim had just gone into rehab). I'm hooked and can't wait for the rest.
I luff Lisa and Ken too....and, not forgetting, Giggy.
Little Man is growing up so quickly!
I really like that programme, husband hates it and walks away if it's on.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite time of day is 6.00am, I always wake up feeling so happy, I'm one of those chirpy larks who wants chat and breakfast within ten seconds of opening my eyelids.
I watch the RHO Vancouver!
ReplyDeleteYes I am getting lots of spam and considered putting word verification on but I really want commenters and this is a deterrent so I delete spam regularly now.
Mr TNMA is obsessed with Grand Designs - we have it on a continual loop at home!
ReplyDeleteHi there FF, just managed to do a post (now averaging one every 10 days, terrible) then came over here and misread your final question, need to go to opticians urgently - read "spam" as having "er" in middle, not an "a". Gave me quite a shock. And yes, I am inundated with spam, what to do?
ReplyDeleteDear Ms FF, While you may feel poorly, you could never be mediocre! Particularly if you have the little one bathed and fed by 6 pm, which seems nothing short of miraculous. I am not sure what is best for bruising but think that a rest, if only you can manage this,ie time on couch clocking TV punctuated by a few catnaps. The red ghost was fabulous! We are devoted to Kevin too. Did you see the new one with him in his man made house? Just delightful. By the way, were your ears burning on Monday? The girls and I channeled you when we were buying cushions for my bed. Now need chair to put them on when in bed! Hope you feel well soon. love Lindaxxx
ReplyDeleteYes I agree Kevin has a very soothing voice as does Lisa on Housewives and I like the way Ken appears the startled Englishman wondering what am I doing here?
ReplyDeleteglad you're on the mend
I agree Kevin has a very soothing voice as do Lisa and Ken, love the way Ken has the bewildered "Im an Englishman what am I doing here?" look at times.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're on the mend
Spamtastic it is not! I don't have comment moderation and that spam is slipping through the filter. We're big fans of Kevin here too. x

ReplyDeleteGrand Designs is a fav of mine too , FF ,and I know we both love Mad Men..returning April 7. Yippee!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Grand Designs. It's amazing to see how creative people are!
ReplyDeleteSad you are still feeling poorly-take care!
Hope you're recovering well xx A friend downloaded every episode of Kevin for me. Now for a rainy day to watch them all. Ha.
ReplyDeleteTDM xx
Love Kevin too! Really enjoying the run of Grand Designs - there are some that we haven't seen (must have been in the very early days) that we've really enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteNo spam here as I don't blog but have read that lots of bloggers are having these problems too.
Feel better soon
xx
What a sweet Mother Son moment. We are always heel-for-leather rushing into bedtime at 7. I love Kevin too. I wish he'd come and renovate our house...
ReplyDeleteK xx
I keep commenting on my iPad and they disappear! Hell.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your fall. demoralising and painful :(
At end of tether re Melbourne weather, it's the worst. It gets hotter where I'm from but it's much more unbearable in the city.
Tonight is hump day scotch night though.
So sorry about the fall....wishing you a speady recovery xx
ReplyDeleteNo spamming for me at the moment, have had some throughout my blog life though!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics as always, hope you recover fully soon.

Been loving Kevin and Grand Designs for years, but not so sure about the man shed thing. His voice and wit are very appealing. I hope you are feeling better soon, it is no picnic being injured when you have a toddler to run after. It is deadset cute when little people think we can't see them if they can't see us!
ReplyDeleteYour 6pm routine sounds cozy and relaxing. Huge fan of Grand Designs too, Love how Kevin really gets into what other people are creating. Although I don't know how people build houses in the uk in winter, it always looks positively freezing.
ReplyDeleteSpam was getting out of control even on my little blog. I changed my comment setting to not allow any anonymous comments and hey presto - nothing since!
ReplyDeleteI adore that special time before bedtime and have held onto it with my 'baby' who's now 10. Very precious time. x
The spam is driving me nuts. I just don't get it. As if it's ever going to get 'approved' and published, so why do the spam bots bother? Love Grand Designs. Have you seen Kevin's own GD show? He's building his own house and is documenting it GD style. It's very interesting to see him on the other end of things. Also love a clean child at 6pm...although my two are older, so it's more like 7.30pm around here, but still. Nothing beats that night time calmness with the kids before putting them to bed x
ReplyDeleteDear FF,
ReplyDeleteLove Kevin and his mellifluous voice. So talented. Loved the episode with the Irish castle he was so emotional about it!
I think you might need some help putting yourself back together again following your scary fall. Have you a good physio or remedial massage person?
You know my thoughts on Ken and Lisa. Why do you think Pandora took her name and not old Kens's
Kate Bx
Intrigued!!!
DeleteHi FF, missed your banter. Hope you mend ASAP. Le child so cute. I do appreciate the commentary on the big issues truly I was bereft for lack of posts with the rain here in bris your blog has been a sanity saver.
ReplyDeleteYes, there's something about that Kevin fella, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteVery comforting.
No - no spam for me - measures taken to keep it at bay.
So inundated with spam I put the word verification thingy back on. Sad but true.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are on the mend from your fall - I find falls scary. That feeling of knowing you are falling but not being able to stop yourself. Wound up briefly in hospital myself last week with horrible food poisoning leaving me very dehydrated. Yucko.
I adore Kevin. (When I read your post title I initially thought you were blogging about Kevin Rudd - just had a state election in WA so all been a bit political here recently.)
Take care.
my fall was scary and it has make caring for the baby challenging because my hand and arm are so sore. And I am limping and can hardly walk. Hope you are better x
Deleteoh thats awful , hope things improve soon

ReplyDeleteOh I so love Lisa and Ken too! She is just gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteHope you are ok after your fall!
ReplyDeleteI love Lisa Vanderpump's hair almost as much as her name. x
I feel worse than ever and can hardly move. And I am in a lot of pain which is boring and annoying.
DeleteI like her hair too.
I love your comment, FF, it is so typically you (or at least the little we know of you) : "I am dying .....but never mind that, I love your hair !". TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF !!!xx
DeleteOh dear FF, you are obviously a lot worse than we all thought, however you still manage to post some beautiful photos. Being such a busy person, I can just imagine how bored and annoyed you must be....hopefully you will get a little better and stronger each day.
DeleteHope the FF men are looking after you.
Lorraine E
xx
Here in the land of Serendip we all agree that Kevin is our TV crush (even Mr Serendip). Do you have a radio voice crush? I love Tony Delroys voice and once I was overseas for a month and missed him more than I missed Mr S!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling a bit better, even if a bit is not enough! I fell last year ( most undignified splat!!) &after a painful week I finally went to the GP & had 2 broken ribs. Take carex
ReplyDeleteGet well soon FF. The fall sounds much much worse than you say, so I really hope you get the help you need to recover. I miss your daily blog posts but I'm guessing you are really not feeling up to it, it's strange because I imagine you to be superwoman who never has a bad day and is always smiling no matter what. Feel free to write a post complaining about it all if you need to....real life is not always glam I guess!
ReplyDeleteAs for Kevin. I LOVE him. As in I used to fantasize that my future husband would be like him (or Monty don!!). Funnily enough my man is NOTHING like either!!
Hi FF,
ReplyDeleteam hoping you are feeling better this week.
thanks for this post - I ADORE Kevin - ever since I came across Grand Designs in 2006, I watch and re-watch (just to listen to him!!)
And yes, Lisa and Ken are great value too!
take care,
Christine x
You are always such an inspiration to me, FF, thank you! Even when you feel mediocre you spread magic. Lisa and Ken are my favorite couple on that show, and I'm not familiar with Kevin - will need to learn more. Carry on and be gentle with yourself. xo
